A MAN has been handed a suspended sentence after driving dangerously while he was banned from being behind the wheel of a car.
James Hadland, of Gleneagles Close, Lowton, was found driving a VW Golf on St Helens Road in Leigh on October 10 while he was disqualified.
The 22-year-old, who was sentenced at Bolton Crown Court on Wednesday, was given a 12-month sentence suspended for two years.
The defendant, who has been disqualified for three years with an extended re-test ordered, was given no separate penalty for failing to stop for police and having no insurance.
Hadland has also been ordered to do 150 hours of unpaid work and complete a rehabilitation and activity requirement.
