Steve Price has made no secret of his desire to add a versatile outside back to his squad and Mamo, who is equally adept at full-back, wing and centre, fits the bill.

Mamo burst onto the scene after joining the Giants from NRL side Newcastle Knights thanks to his electric attacking play, but injuries have plagued his time in England so far.

However, Price says he is confident Mamo will prove to be a sound piece of business for the club.

“I’ve watched Jake closely for a number of years over in the NRL and also in the Super League at Huddersfield,” he said.

“He has a lot of quality attributes and brings a lot of enthusiasm.

“He competes really hard and can play in a number of positions - in a centre, wing, full-back type role.

“He’s going to be a great acquisition for our footy club.”
