From Neverland to a land full of princes and princess Natalie Winsor is trying a new role this pantomime season.

This is the fifth year Winsor has been with Qdos Entertainment doing pantomimes and in the past has always played the part of Tiger Lily.

But crowds at Venue Cymru will see her take on a different role in the Cinderella pantomime this Christmas season - the fairy godmother.

Talking to the Pioneer's Patrick Glover at the Llandudno pantomime launch, Winsor said: "I am excited to play a different role, I usually play Tiger Lily in Peter Pan but Qdos do many glorious story books at the Christmas season.

"It will be exciting to try another story book and with the fabulous Tom Parker as out Prince Charming.

"I'm hoping to make dreams come true. I know there are a lot of our audience members that it is their first experience of theatre.

"They fall in love with the different characters. I'm sure there are a lot of girls out there that would love to play Cinderella and many of the boys out there that would like to play Prince Charming.

"So it's nice to have this maternal feel over the audience and be the person that pieces things together in the magic that is finding true love."

While she couldn't give too much away she said audiences can expect something that really brings the show to life this Christmas.

Having already visited Llandudno as part of the Dirty Dancing cast a number of years ago, Winsor added she is excited to return in a different capacity and at such a special time of year.

She said: "What I really love about Christmas audiences are the children. It's really magical, it's a nice time for family coming together, some grandparents bring their grandchildren along and the family come down as a unit, it is what I really enjoy about the Christmas time."

Cinderella will be at Venue Cymru from December 8 to 30. Tickets are on sale now from the Venue Cymru box offices by contacting 01492 872 000 or visiting in person or by booking online at https://venuecymru.co.uk/cinderella.
