A 17 year old boy is currently in "critical but stable" condition after he was viciously attacked in a Greenwich estate last night.
Police were called to Briset Road in Eltham by paramedics already on the scene, shortly after 10pm last night following reports that a young man had been stabbed.
A spokeswoman for the London Ambulance Service said: “We were called at 10:19pm yesterday (15 November) to Briset Road, Greenwich to reports of an incident.
“We sent an incident response officer, an ambulance crew, an advanced paramedic and a single responder in a car to the scene. We also dispatched London's Air Ambulance response car.
"We treated a man at the scene and took him as a priority to a major trauma centre."
A spokeswoman from the Met has said: "Police were called by the London Ambulance Service at approximately 22:25hrs on 15 November, to reports of a stabbing on Briset Road, SE9. Officers attended along with colleagues from the London's Air Ambulance.
"A 17-year-old male was found with multiple stab wounds. He has been taken to a south London hospital where he remains in a critical but stable condition.
"At this stage there has been no arrest; enquiries continue.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 and quote ref: CAD 8027/15 or alternatively to speak to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
