TWO men have been charged in connection with an investigation into two house fires in Leigh and Huyton.
The investigation is ongoing into the fire at a house on Montreal Street, Leigh on Tuesday, October 16 and a blaze at a house on Mardale Road in Huyton, Merseyside two days earlier (Sunday, October 14).
Zana Ali, 34, of Thirlmere Road, Leigh has been charged with two counts of arson with intent to endanger life in connection with the fires.
Meanwhile, Jake Hignett, 22, of Kimberley Avenue, St Helens has been charged with arson with intent to endanger life in connection with the fire in Huyton.
Both men have been remanded to appear before Wigan Magistrates Court today, Wednesday, November 21.
