HIGH school students have been put through their paces to give them tips on achieving success in working life.
Around 150 Year 11 pupils at The Westleigh School have had their annual careers and mock interview day with 43 volunteers from different organisations taking part on the day.
Staff from organisations such as BBC, Natwest, Jacobs Engineering and the NHS volunteered to conduct the interviews which included a range of scenarions.
Enrichment manager at the Westleigh Lane school, Miss Wilcockson, said: “With the uncertainties posed by Brexit and concerns about our nation’s ability to fill skills shortages, it’s more important than ever that we prepare our young people for the world of work.”
After the event, volunteers gave positive feedback about the school's pupils and teaching staff.
