A YOUNG actor is flying across the stage in his role as Peter Pan.
Gareth Morgan, from Atherton, is performing in his first professional theatre role in a show at The Dukes in Lancaster which started on November 23 and runs until January 3.
The 24-year-old, who graduated at Arts Education Schools in Chiswick, London, first became interested in acting since playing the lead role of Danny in Grease when he went to Hesketh Fletcher High School.
He feels “privileged” to be playing the main part in the Christmas classic which is set in the magical world of Neverland.
Gareth said: “The show requires heaps of effort and energy to power us through.
“Peter is such an iconic role so I’m proud and privileged to get the chance to bring him to life.”
In preparation for the acrobatic role, Gareth had lessons on how to fly across the stage on equipment such as harnesses in Liverpool.
His mum Beverley 53, added: “I am very proud of Gareth.
“He has worked very hard to get this role.”
Gareth’s family have shown their support by going to see him perform at the venue.
