A vehicle smashed into metal shutters at the front of Asda on Bolton Road, Atherton in the early hours of Friday, December 7, forcing them open.
Police say a large amount of scratchcards were stolen from the store during the break-in.
The force said: "We were called just after 1.35am on Friday to Asda on Bolton Road to reports a car had crashed into the front of the store.
"Officers attended and a man, aged 21, was arrested a short time later."
