ASTLEY'S Meat Mart store has reopened under new ownership.
Crawshaws meat retailer had announced 35 closures as it fell into administration in the autumn.
There were 35 stores closed, as well as the Chaddock Lane distribution site, which amounted to 354 redundancies
However, the store in Astley has been resurrected after Loughanure Ltd, headed by meat entrepreneur, Tom Cribbin, former owner of the Gabbotts Farm chain of butchers stores, has acquired certain business and assets of Crawshaw Group.
This has secured more than 200 jobs and 19 stores in addition to creating further jobs following the reopening of the popular Meat Mart Quality Meat Outlet on Chaddock Lane, Astley.
