FORMER Radio 2 DJ Chris Evans joined a record-breaking number of runners at Warrington parkrun on Christmas Day.
The former Padgate High pupil, who said goodbye to his breakfast show listeners on Christmas Eve ahead of returning to Virgin later in January, posed for numerous selfies after taking on the 5k course around Victoria Park.
Organisers said 350 walkers, runners, joggers and 'plodders' turned out for the annual run with many in festive fancy dress.
They added parkrun 'super fan' Chris Evans was an 'absolute star' and was 'happy to do the selfie rounds with everyone'.

He was joined on the course by his wife Natasha Shishmanian who was spotted by fellow runners pushing their three-month-old twins in a double buggy.
One runner commented: "His wife overtook me at around 1k despite having had twins not that long ago and pushing them in a double buggy!
"One kid got excited and thought Captain America was there."
