A MAN has been handed a curfew after stealing a purse from a hotel and committing fraud.
Scott Murphy, of Station Road, Blackpool admitted to trespassing at The Sporting Lodge Greyhound Hotel and Restaurant in Leigh on October 9 and taking a purse, which contained items such as bank cards.
The 25-year-old also pleaded guilty to committing fraud by making false representation and using a stolen bank card to obtain goods on the same date.
He was given a eight-week curfew, ordered to pay a compensation fee of £100, a victim services surcharge fee of £85 and court costs of £85.
Murphy was sentenced at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
