THERE were severe delays on the M6 in Warrington this morning, Tuesday, following an accident in the early hours.

All lanes have re-opened but delays of around 20 minutes remain after the crash around 4.30am.

The road was closed southbound between junction 22 for Winwick and 21a for Croft to remove the vehicles and to clear a spillage.

All lanes were re-opened at 7.10am.

But slow traffic remains to junction 25 at Bryn.

Meanwhile there are delays on the M62 after a crash between junction seven at Rainhill and eight at Burtonwood.

Delays of more than 45 minutes are being reported eastbound.

The road was re-opened at 7.05am.
