WARRINGTON Borough Council has opened its annual garden waste subscription service for 2019.

Residents can register now to have their green bins collected between March 5 and December 6.

The fortnightly service costs £32 and residents who sign up get an identification sticker to make sure their green waste is collected.

It is the third year the council has charged for collection and the price has gone up £1 each time, with it initially priced £30 at the launch in 2017.

If you buy your licence over the phone or at Contact Warrington it costs £35.

WHEN DO I HAVE TO PAY BY?

If you subscribe before March 4 your service will begin on schedule.

If you subscribe part way through the subscription year (March to December) the charge will remain at £32 and the council will aim to start collecting your green bin within two weeks of your subscription. If you’ve ordered a replacement and/or additional bins the council will aim to deliver these to your property within two weeks.
