A PANTOMIME will take to the stage for the first time next Wednesday.

The curtain for Doreen Johnson's production of Aladdin and his Wonderful Lamp will be raised at St Joseph’s Hall, in Leigh, from Wednesday, January 23 to Sunday, January 27.

The St Joseph's Players pantomime, which will include laughter, music from a live band and dance, will return the following week from Wednesday, January 30 to Saturday, February 2.

Evening performances will start at 7.15pm with two matinee shows set to take place at 2pm and 4.30pm on January 26 and a third one on January 27 at 2pm.

Concessions are available on January 23, 24 and 30 when all tickets will be £5.

All other dates are priced at £10 for people aged over 16 and £5 for those under 16.

Tickets are available to buy at Spectrum Blinds, inside Stones Carpets, on Chapel Street.
