A DRINK driver who was more than three times over the limit has been banned for more than two years.
Carl Thomason, of Wigan Road, Leigh had 118 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath when he was breathalysed on Warrington Road in Wigan on December 29. The legal limit is 35 micrograms.
The 24-year-old has been disqualified from driving for 26 months which may be reduced by 26 weeks if he completes a course.
He has also been ordered to complete 80 hours of unpaid work in a year and ordered to pay a victim services surcharge fee of £85 and court costs of £85.
The defendant was sentenced at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court on Wednesday
