THIS video shows police car driving at speeds of up to 108mph on the East Lancashire Road in the pursuit of a vehicle.
Officers shared the clip of their patrol car driving on the westbound carriageway on a stretch of road where they said the speed limit changes from 60mph to 40mph.
Greater Manchester Police confirmed the driver was stopped in Lowton and is due to appear in court.
