A MAN who committed a string of thefts and broke into two shops has been jailed.
Joshua Birchall, of no fixed address, stole £400 worth of goods including a mobile phone, an Amazon Kindle and jewellery from a car in Atherton on January 11.
Three days later, the 24-year-old took two bottles of vodka from a Costcutter store in the town.
On January 17, Birchall stole a hairdressing case and a wallet containing bank cards and cash to the value of £550 from another car in Atherton.
He also broke into two shops in Bolton on January 29, the KFC China Garden and Poundland, with the intent to steal.
Birchall, who pleaded guilty to the five offences at Bolton Magistrates' Court on Wednesday was given a sentence of 51 weeks.
