A COMMUNITY yarn group has made a selection of clothing items to help keep homeless people warm this winter.
Members of the group, which meet at Purrfect Crafting in Tyldesley, have been knitting and crocheting to create hats, gloves, scarves and blankets.
The items were delivered by the Elliott Street shop owner, Irene Goodhew, to the Urban Outreach centre in Bolton.
Jeanette Roberts-Fox from the centre will hand them out to homeless people around Bolton as part of its severe weather campaign.
The group meet at the shop every Wednesday from 10am, it is free to attend and gives members a chance to make items for a range of charities. Dementia support organisations have also benefited from the group’s work.
