A COURT hearing has been set for a man facing charges after armed police were called to a house in Golborne.

Austen Dubbledam, of Old Liverpool Road, Warrington has been charged with one count of affray and two counts of criminal damage.

Emergency services including armed police were sent to a home on Prescott Street on Saturday at around 1.50pm after the 38-year-old was accused of making threats.

A woman and a child left the property safely.

Dubbledam allegedly caused £500 worth of damage to a car on Saturday and £550 to a police cell CCTV camera in Wigan on Sunday.

He will not face charges for making threats to kill or being in possession of cannabis following a hearing at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court yesterday, Monday.

The defendant will appear at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates’ Court on Friday, March 1.

He has been released on conditional bail.
