THE funeral of a 21-year-old man whose death led to a murder investigation will take place on Monday.

A service will be held at St Nathaniel's Parish Church in Platt Bridge at 1pm for Billy Livesley, who died in hospital on December 29 after being found seriously injured in Abram the previous evening.

A group of motorbikes and quad bikes will meet at the back of the Iceland store on Templeton Road at 11.45am before joining the funeral procession.

Riders have been asked not to rev up their engines to cause shock to horses involved in the procession.

Billy's coffin will be carried to the church by horses and carriage.

People walking to the service have been invited to meet at New Street at 11.45am.

The dress code is blue and white, the colours of Everton Football Club, the team that Billy supported.

The family have requested for black not to be worn.

Myles David Connors, 26, of Layton Street Caravan Park, Preston and Peter Connor, 31, of no fixed address have been charged with Billy's murder with a trial set to start at Manchester Crown Court later this year.
