A DRINK driver who was more than three times over the limit has been given a curfew.

Graham Barnes, of Wanborough Close, Leigh had 126 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath when he was breathalysed on Kennet Way on January 30. 

The legal limit is 35 micrograms.

The 59-year-old has been handed a four-month curfew and disqualified from driving for 30 months which may be reduced by 30 weeks if he completes a course.

Barnes has also been ordered to complete a six-month alcohol treatment course and pay a victim services surcharge fee of £85 and court costs of £85.

He was sentenced at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
