A FURTHER arrest has been made in connection with the murder investigation of 21-year-old man Billy Livesley.

Billy, from Platt Bridge, was found seriously injured on Bickershaw Lane in Abram on December 28.

He died in hospital the following day.

A number of arrests followed which led to two men, Peter Connor, 31, of no fixed address, and Myles David Connors, 24, of no fixed address, being charged with the murder of Billy.

Yesterday, Thursday, a 22-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. She has been bailed pending further enquiries.

James Anthony Connor, 37, of James Street, Atherton has also previously been charged with making threats to kill against one of Billy's relatives.

There have been a series of other arrests in the case too.

A 58-year-old man has been released under investigation and a 22-year-old man has been bailed pending further enquiries.

Two men – aged 25 and 26 – have been released with no further action.

Three men – aged 22, 24 and 38 – who were previously arrested have been bailed pending further enquiries.

Two men – aged 25 and 26 – who were arrested on Tuesday, January 29 on suspicion of murder have been bailed pending further enquiries.
