AN ELDERLY couple were left shaken after a masked armed robber entered their house and made threats.
At around 4.40am this morning (Saturday), a man wearing a balaclava and armed with a screwdriver and crowbar entered an address on Hesketh Manor, off Bullough Street, Atherton.
The man threatened the elderly couple, who are in their 80s, and demanded they hand over their money.
No one was injured during the robbery, but police say the couple have been left "understandably shaken".
The offender fled the house on foot with four pounds in cash.
Police have launched an investigation into the robbery.
