AN investigation into the rape of a woman at a nature reserve is ongoing one year after the incident took place.
The rape happened at Amberswood Nature Reserve in Hindley on Sunday, February 18.
Police were called to the reserve at the junction of Manchester Road (A577) and Seaman Way at 2.15pm on the day
A woman in her 20s was walking along a path through a wooded area when she was followed by two men.
As she turned a corner, two other men were stood in front of her.
The woman was then raped.
The offenders were described as four white men, aged between 18 and 30 and at least two were of slim build.

After months of extensive enquiries and forensic analysis, officers released three e-fit pictures of men wanted in connection with the incident in October.
Police have confirmed the appeal for people to contact them still stands.
