AN appeal has been launched to raise funds for the funeral of a "popular" 24-year-old man who died after a crash on Monday evening.
Jordan Brown died after a crash on Wigan Road in Leigh at the junction with Hulme Road just before 6.40pm where the black Honda motorbike he was riding collided with a white Renault Megane.
Emergency services were called to the scene and Jordan was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
He died yesterday, Wednesday.
A JustGiving crowdfunding page has been set up to help his family with the funeral costs.
A message on the page states: "The family unfortunately are struggle to find the funds to give Jordan the send off he deserves.
"We know Jordan was a loved and popular young man and we ask kindly for people to support the funds needed to celebrate his life properly."
The crowdfunding page also mentions that Jordan's family are still grieving from the loss of Jordan's mum, who died late last year.
Police are continuing to appeal for information about the collision.
Two women – aged 42 and 64 – who were in the Renault were also taken to hospital for treatment for neck injuries.
No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing.
If you have any information call GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit on 0161 856 4741 or the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
