A 22-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with perverting the course of justice in connection with the murder of Billy Livesley case.
Police were called to Bickershaw Lane on Friday, December 28 where 21-year-old Billy Livesley, from Platt Bridge, suffered serious injuries as a result of the assault and was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
He died the following evening and a Home Office post mortem examination confirmed that the cause of death was a significant head injury.
Jimmy Price of no fixed address, has been charged with perverting the course of justice and bailed to appear before Wigan Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday, March 6.
Myles David Connors, 26, of Layton Street Caravan Park, Preston and Peter Connor, 31, of no fixed address have been charged with Billy's murder with a trial set to start at Manchester Crown Court later this year.
