FRESH from organising their successful Lostock 6 road race the previous week, Lostock AC were back to the business of racing with 11 green vests at the Trotters 5.

First home for Lostock was James Jackson in 34mins, followed closely by Stuart Hatton in 34:46.

Paul Lacey edged out Gareth Pratt by two seconds in a tough personal dual, the pair finishing in 38:52 and 38:54, respectively.

Kimberley Couper-Weng was the first Lostock woman home in 43:40, followed by Amy Trevor in 44:11.

Paul Speed came home in 45:38 with Matt Allen following in 45:48, Maria Tickle 55:30 and Scott and Kate Rotheram in 56:56 and 56:57, respectively.

Braving Storm Freya at the Anglesey Half Marathon were Claire Shewbridge, Matt Withers and Anthony Wilcock continuing his "30 in 30" half marathons.

Claire Shewbridge was first home in 1:50:08, there was a personal best of 1:57:12 for Matt Withers, and 2:03:37 for Wilcock.

Joanna completed a brace of personal bests for the Withers family in the 10k, with a time of 58:02.

Lostock AC also celebrated their awards evening where prizes were given out for fell, road and cross country racing as well as triathlon, Chris Taylor winning the prestigious composite award as best all-round athlete.
