A MAN has been jailed after pleading guilty to carrying a hammer and causing criminal damage to a bus shelter in Leigh.
Darryl McHugh, of no fixed address admitted to being in possession of the weapon and damaging the bus shelter on February 19.
The 28-year-old has been sent to prison for 24 weeks in total and ordered to pay a victim services surcharge fee of £115.
He was sentenced at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court last Thursday.
