A PROLIFIC shoplifter has been jailed for 14 months after breaching a suspended sentence.

Marie Darbyshire, of Glebe Street, Leigh, stole a packet of chicken from a McColl's store in Hindley on Monday.

The 39-year-old was also found in possession of a lock knife on the same day too.

She also took £125.50 worth of food from an Asda store in Leigh on February 4 and two bottles of whiskey from a supermarket on March 1.

Darbyshire also entered a Asda store in Wigan on February 4 which breached a previous criminal behaviour order made against her.
