A PROLIFIC shoplifter has been jailed for 14 months after breaching a suspended sentence.
Marie Darbyshire, of Glebe Street, Leigh, stole a packet of chicken from a McColl's store in Hindley on Monday.
The 39-year-old was also found in possession of a lock knife on the same day too.
She also took £125.50 worth of food from an Asda store in Leigh on February 4 and two bottles of whiskey from a supermarket on March 1.
Darbyshire also entered a Asda store in Wigan on February 4 which breached a previous criminal behaviour order made against her.
By committing the offences, the defendant breached a community service order imposed on her on January 22 after she was found guilty of five shop thefts and breaching a criminal behaviour order.
She was sentenced at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court on Monday.
