A DRINK driver who was more than two times over the limit has been banned.

Peter Hunt, of Angus Avenue, Leigh had 79 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath when he was breathalysed on Wigan Road on February 26.

The legal limit is 35 micrograms.

The 49-year-old has been disqualified from driving for 18 months which may be reduced by 18 weeks if he completes a course.

He has also been fined £120 and ordered to pay a victim services surcharge fee of £30 and court costs of £85.

Hunt was sentenced at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
