POLICE have dropped an attempted murder investigation after an incident where a woman was found unconscious at her home.
Officers were called to Ellesmere Street in Astley Green at around 12.05pm on Sunday, January 27 where a 25-year-old woman was unresponsive and suffered serious injuries.
She was taken to hospital where she remains but her condition has now been described as stable rather than serious as she continues to recover.
Following enquiries, police are no longer treating the incident as suspicious.
A 25-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on Tuesday, January 29 but was released with no further action.
It is understood that the woman's injuries were caused after a fall down the stairs.
