A NETWORKING is set to launch on Friday to bring the business community together.

Leigh's first Business for Breakfast group will take place at The Greyhound Hotel from 6.45am to 9am.

All members and guests are able to give a one-minute pitch to promote their business and there will be plenty of opportunities to network and swap details.

Adam Vause from Express IT Group, who is the driving force behind the launch of the new group, said: "I’m proud that Leigh has a vibrant and busy business community, there are some great people around and about, and I’m excited at the opportunity to bring lots of them together in the name of networking and making connections and generating new leads – business being done.

“Networking is so important to any business, but especially start-ups, and the small to medium sector, and this new business breakfast group is designed to introduce and connect people, support them, encourage one-to-one meetings, share each other’s experiences, and promote the virtues of referral marketing.

“Business for Breakfast is a fantastic networking format that works, it’s successful throughout the country, particularly in the North West, and I’m delighted to have the opportunity to be heading up this new group."

The networking event will take place every two weeks.

Express IT’s head of sales Linda Tonge said: “The good thing about BforB is that it’s structured but informal.

“It’s busy, lively, supportive, and there’s lots of knowledge and experience around the room, with so many people available to share advice and experience.

“What makes it successful is that it’s held every other week, rather than weekly, because we know how difficult it is for busy people to commit themselves on a weekly basis.

“And by joining the group, you get to know and trust fellow members, and by virtue of that, you become confident to refer them to people you know, and hopefully by doing that, you’re helping them build up their business, and they’ll do likewise for yours.”

The cost of attending the meeting is £10 per person, which includes breakfast.
