A WOMAN who stole meat three times in the space of a month last year has been ordered to pay compensation costs.

Shannon Burton, of Blakemoor Park, Atherton admitted to taking 14 rib eye steaks from Aldi in Tyldesley on April 17, 2018.

The 24-year-old stole 15 rib eye steaks from the same store 12 days later.

Then on May 14 she stole £100 worth of meat from a Co-Op store in Worsley.

Appearing for sentencing at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court yesterday, Monday, Burton was ordered to pay compensation fees of £268.85.

She has been discharged conditionally for 12 months.
