I WOULD like to thank some wonderful people in Leigh who stopped to help my 79-year-old mum who fell on Friday, March 22 in Doctors Nook Car Park while I was with her.

I cannot thank a woman called Janine enough and a man wearing a Help for Heroes sweatshirt that came to our assistance and gave my mum their coats to keep her warm.

Two police officers who were driving by also stopped to assist and gave my mum their coats too and chased the ambulance several times for us.

A lady handed us a brand new quilt as well.

My mum was waiting an hour-and-a-half minutes for an ambulance, but with everyone's help she was warm and happy.

She went to Bolton Hospital after suffering a broken leg and she is now recovering at home.

Many thanks to you all for your kindness.
