A KIND-hearted eight-year-old girl will be having her hair cut tomorrow, Tuesday, in aid of a children's cancer cause.

Ellie Edwards, of Maple Crescent, Leigh will be given a new shorter style at Leah Marie Hair and Beauty in Hindley in aid of charity The Little Princess Trust.

The organisation makes wigs for children who are bald due to chemotherapy treatment.

Hindley Green Primary School pupil Ellie wanted to help a charitable cause after seeing an advert that showed children with no hair, which made her curious about the reason why they were bald.

Ellie's mum Cheryl, 31, a University of Bolton student nurse, said: "I am so proud of Ellie.

"I did not expect her to do this as she has not had any contact with anyone who has had cancer before."

Since a crowdfunding page was set up around four weeks ago, around £300 has been amassed for the charity.

Ellie, who is a member of Hindley Roses Morris Dancing and Leigh Kickboxing Studio, has two brothers, Jack, 10, and Jacob, five.

Donna's beauty touch in Hindley has arranged for her to have face and nails beauty treatments as a reward when she has had her haircut.
