A KIND-hearted eight-year-old girl had her hair cut on Tuesday in aid of a children’s cancer cause.

Ellie Edwards, of Maple Crescent, Leigh was given a new shorter style at Leah Marie Hair and Beauty in Hindley in aid of charity The Little Princess Trust.

The organisation makes wigs for children who are bald due to chemotherapy treatment.

Ellie with her hair after her charity chop

Hindley Green Primary School pupil Ellie wanted to help a charitable cause after seeing an advert that showed children with no hair, which made her curious about the reason why they were bald.

Around £300 has been raised for The Little Princess Fund.
