A SOAP star will be at Spinning Gate Shopping Centre tomorrow morning, Saturday, to cut the ribbon at the opening of a travel agency.

Coronation Street's Alan Halsall, who has played Tyrone Dobbs for 21 years, will be at the ceremony for independent shop, Jetz Travel, at 11am at the Leigh centre.

Corrie fans and shoppers are invited to meet Alan and have photos taken with him.

The latest addition to Spinning Gate has created three jobs as well as handing a placement to a Wigan and Leigh College student.

The firm is owned by Nick Brooks, 47, and his wife Donna, 48, who live in Astley and will be managing the store.
