A PROLIFIC shoplifter has been jailed after committing five thefts.
Jack Mountford, of Birchfield, Atherton took £179.60 worth of air fresheners from Poundstretcher on Richmond Retail Park in two visits to the store on January 3 and February 2.
The 23-year-old also stole three jackets and one TV to the value of £267.97 from Ena Mill on February 6.
Six days later on February 12, Mountford admitted taking six bottles of alcohol worth £160 from Asda in Leigh.
He also took a bottle of perfume from Asda on February 2.
The defendant was sentenced to 10 weeks in prison yesterday, Monday, and was also given a two-year criminal behavioural order banning him from entering a number of stores.
He must also pay a victim services surcharge fee of £115.
