A SINGER-songwriter is back from an Australian tour and is set to release a new single.

Multi award-winning artist Gary Quinn, of Leigh Road, Leigh performed down under in the Buckle and Boots Country Festival.

Gary, 37, is ready to release Bumpin' Into You, which is available from Saturday, April 27.

The track carries a different vibe to what his fans are used to and channels a modern, country, mainstream Nashville sound.

He teamed up with Rob Gulston from country group Holloway Road to add production experience at The Banger Hanger studio in Southend-on-Sea.

Dad-of-two Gary said: “I wanted to put a more contemporary spin on this track and see how the listener reacts.

"I’ve known Rob for a while now and always been a fan of what Jack and he have been creating and releasing with Holloway Road, so it made sense for me to reach out and try to work with Rob to see what we could come up with.

"I’m very pleased with how it’s turned out. I hope my fans will be too.”

Bumpin Into You will be Gary's first official studio release since his EP I Remember was released in 2016 and made a debut in the UK iTunes Country Chart at number five.

Gary also released an acoustic EP last year and has plenty of fresh material for his fans to look forward to.

He co-wrote with William Michael Morgan and Kyle Schlienger on his last trip to Nashville in November.

This year he has performed across Australia with UK artists in places such as Brisbane, Toowoomba and Twin Towns.

He also played at Tamworth, where he played at an international stage at Toyota Park.

Gary, who recently took part in the Country on the Clyde event, is now set to perform in the UK festivals, Buckle and Boots, which runs from May 24 to 26, and Dixie Fields Festivals, that runs from July 12 to 13.

He is a co-founder of the Buckle and Boots festival in Manchester.
