POLICE are continuing the hunt for a balaclava gang who burst into a house and stabbed a man.
As revealed by the Star last week, a 53-year-old man answered a knock at the front door of the house on Wood Street, Pocket Nook on Friday, April 12.
Three men wearing dark clothing and balaclavas forced their way inside the house, attacking the man and a 43-year-old man.
The 43-year-old man was stabbed in the stomach, back and chest.
He was taken to hospital and underwent surgery.
Detective Inspector Sue Hinds, described the attack as "a shocking incident".

Police have appealed for anyone in the Wood Street area at around 11.30pm last Friday who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously to get in touch.
The break-in is being treated as an aggravated burglary by police.
A 19-year-old man at the address was upstairs when he heard the commotion and ran down. Whilst trying to intervene he suffered a cut to his shin.
A woman, who was in the address, was hit by one of the offenders during the incident.
