A NEW tea room has come out on top in an Easter shop window competition.
Companies in Atherton dressed their windows with Easter Bonnets, and the recently opened Memories Tea Rooms received the most votes from shoppers for its look.
The tea room, which is based at Atherton Town Hall, is staffed by volunteers and all profits go to the Good Deeds Trust dementia charity.
The event was organised by Atherton Business Partnership and Atherleigh Labour councillors.
Atherleigh councillor John Harding said: “The organising group comprising of business owners, Cllr Debra Wailes and myself, worked really hard to make this competition happen.
"I would like to thank all the local businesses who joined in to make this a success and to all the shoppers who voted.
"A draw took place of the winning entry forms and three lucky shoppers have now received their prizes."
