A FOIL stamping family business has been recognised by royalty.

Foilco, based in Lowton, has received the Queen's Award for Enterprise for International Trade 2019.

The Enterprise Way company which employs 36 people was set up in 1987 and has been supplying stamping foils to the print industry since.

Managing director Paul Hornby said: “We were recommended to enter for this award by the Department for International Trade due to the great strides we have made into exporting to new international markets in recent years.

"This award is a tribute to the hard work every member of the Foilco team put in to ensuring we give our customers the best possible products matched with an unrivalled level of service.

"Foilco will be shouting proudly about this amazing achievement and using it as a tool to help us expand even further into international markets.”

The company is one of 201 organisations nationally to be recognised with a prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise.

Now in its 53rd year, the Queen’s Award for Enterprise are the most prestigious business awards in the country.

Winning businesses can use the esteemed Queen’s Award emblem for the next five years.

Foilco has distributors in seven countries across the world.

It ships goods from the North West to more than 1,850 businesses and printers.
