A DRIVER was rescued after a car ended up on its roof yesterday afternoon, Wednesday.
Firefighters were called to Slag Lane in Lowton, near Little Byrom Hall, at around 2.05pm where a woman was trapped inside a Toyota Yaris saloon that was on its roof.
Two fire engines and a technical rescue unit were at the scene for around an hour and used technical and specialist equipment to free her from the vehicle.
The woman, believed to be in her 20s, was treated by paramedics for minor injuries before being taken to hospital.
Police were also in attendance.
