A SHOPLIFTER who was found with a kitchen knife in a public place has been jailed.
Kathleen O'Neil of Gordon Street, Leigh admitted carrying the blade on Glebe Street last Thursday.
The 31-year-old also stole items from Asda on four occasions from April 28 to May 7 as well as food from Marks and Spencer on Parsonage Retail Park on April 13.
Appearing at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates' Court on Friday, she was given a sentence of six months and ordered to pay a victim services surcharge fee of £115.
