The crash took place this morning
CLOSURES were in place on the East Lancs this morning, Wednesday, due to a two-car crash.
Delays had been caused after a crash, involving two vehicles on the A580 East Lancashire Road eastbound from junction 23 of the M6 at Haydock Island to the A573 at Golborne Island.
It is believed one of the vehicles ended up on its roof after the collision.
The road had been fully closed for around two-and-a-half hours.
