RESIDENTS are invited to remember the victims of the Manchester Arena bomb attack at the bandstand in Pennington Hall Park in Leigh next Wednesday.

The event, Leigh Remembers Manchester, will be returning to the St Helens Road park where there will be a host of singers performing on the second anniversary of the atrocity, in which 22 people died at an Ariana Grande concert in 2017.

Leigh singer Zoe Unsworth, who sang at the park last year at the first memorial event which attracted around 200 people, will be taking to the stage again.

Lowton teenager Jack Hillidge will also return to perform Ariana Grande’s One Last Time and No Tears Left To Cry.

Kayley Thomas X Taylor will be singing two tracks and Leigh Community Choir will be in full voice on the night as well.

The iconic Tony Walsh poem This Is The Place will be read out.

Organiser Paul Sargent will introduce the event at 7pm and lead a two minute silence.

Caffeina Cafe will be open as well.
