The council's Good Trader Scheme was set up in 2008 by Trading Standards to promote businesses who are trusted and respected in their field and who are committed to treating their customers fairly and honestly.
It also gives residents an alternative to dealing with rogue traders who often “cold call”.
The Good Trader Scheme has more than 170 members, from a range of different sectors, who were all judged on the quality of customer feedback they have generated in the last 12 months
Group manager for regulatory services Julie Middlehurst said: “It’s extremely important to recognise our local traders who work hard to provide a high-quality service to residents.
"The Good Trader scheme also plays an important part in protecting our most vulnerable residents from becoming a victim of doorstep crime within our borough, and it a key part of The Deal scheme.
“Congratulations to all the winners and runner ups but also not forgetting every single one of our Good Trader Scheme members who provide first class work to our local people.”
