A CAR was seized due to the driver not having insurance.
Traffic officers stopped the Black Ford car in St Helens Road, Daubhill in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The driver reportedly told officers that he had valid insurance, but checks revealed that the policy was cancelled days after being taken out and had been registered 250 miles away from where the driver lived.
Police posted a tweet about the incident on the GMP Traffic Twitter account at 12.40am.
They wrote: "Another seizure for no insurance on St Helens Road Bolton.
"He stated that he purchased a policy via a 'broker', checks showed that this was cancelled only days after.
"The address on the policy was also over 250 miles from where the driver lived.
"Reported for driving with no insurance."
