A DRINK driver has been banned after being more than two times over the limit.
Michael Johnson, of Empress Drive, Leigh had 77 micrograms of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breathe when he was breathalysed on Lord Street on May 27. The legal limit is 35 micrograms.
The 22-year-old has been disqualified from driving for 20 months which may be reduced by 20 weeks if he completes a course.
Johnson has been fined £400 and told to pay a £40 victim services surcharge fee and £85 in court costs as well.
He was sentenced at Wigan and Leigh Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
