A GROUP of travellers camped up close to SKK Judo Club in Newton-le-Willows have been served an 24 hour notice to leave.
The group of no more than five caravans parked up at the site over the weekend.
St Helens Council yesterday delivered a Section 77 eviction notice to the group, giving them 24 hours to leave before issuing a court order.
This is the third group of travellers who have parked up at sites across the borough, with one parking up at The Nine Arches beauty spot last week and another setting up camp at Lea Green Station.
Both have now left those areas.
